We’re huge advocates for tools and systems that help streamline your processes and save you time. We actually shared the top 5 systems that we believe every wedding business needs in a previous blog post (check that out here!), but there are more creative business resources we regularly use to help manage our business and our friendors’ businesses with ease. 

Here are 4 of our go-to creative business resources for communication and collaboration that we consistently use:  

• LastPass
  We serve as a second “you” in your business, which means we need access to things like your email (or a secondary admin email for your business), CRM, Google Drive/Dropbox, Pic-Time etc. Your trust means the world to us, so we always recommend utilizing LastPass as a way to securely share login information. With this platform, we won’t have to worry about password security or trying to memorize all your logins! 
  

• Loom
  Loom is SO handy for communication because it allows you to record your screen with a voiceover. We use this to explain a task, walk through a workflow, or collaborate on questions that require a visual. Many times, sending a Loom video is easier and quicker than scheduling a formal meeting or trying to type out a novel of SOP instructions. This is one of our favorite tools to save time!
  

• Slack
  Slack wins the award for most-often used in our world! We use it for daily client communication whether we have updates for you, questions to review, or your weekly recap document to share. Since we manage your inbox, using an IM platform like Slack is more efficient for quick communication and it’s great to have our running chat in one place (versus a bunch of emails!).
  

• Voxer
  Similarly, Voxer is another communication tool, but for voice notes! Being virtual, we love a good voice note as a more personalized way to connect. But it’s also handy when we have a longer message to send and it’s easier and faster to send a voice note rather than a lengthy text or IM. We love Voxer so much that we even use it in our personal lives!

One of our top creative business resources is podcasts! Our favorite ones fuel both our creative drive and emotional well-being. They’re perfect for heart-led wedding pros like us! Whether you’re editing a gallery, driving to a venue, or enjoying some downtime, these podcasts offer encouragement, insight, and a reminder that you’re not in this alone. From business strategy to mindset support, here are a few of our go-to podcasts that keep us grounded and inspired.

• Girls Night with Stephanie May Wilson
  If you could only listen to one podcast, this would be the one! Girls Night covers all the different facets that make up our lives and helps us to thrive in each one, including family, friendships, marriage, kids, business, and faith. The host, Stephanie May Wilson, will instantly become a combo of your new best friend and wise older sister, as she provides both practical and heart-centric tips for truly creating a life you love.

• The Heart & Hustle Podcast
  This one is gold for wedding creatives and entrepreneurs who want honest conversations about balancing business with purpose. It’s full of actionable tips, inspiring stories, and real talk about building a business that feels authentic to you. If you’re looking for wedding-specific industry insights and discussions, this is the show for you! 

• The Squeeze
  The Squeeze is a mental health pod hosted by Taylor Lautner…and her husband, Taylor Lautner. Their guests from all industries and walks of life share their stories about how they got to where they are, and what their mental health journey has looked like along the way. We love this show because it reminds us that no matter what level of business you’re at, we all go through similar challenges and we’re never alone.

• Create a Life You Love by Stephanie May Wilson
  Stephanie May Wilson, the host of the Girls Night podcast above, penned this book with the mission of empowering women to intentionally create lives they love. It’s the ultimate guide on how to get in touch with your inner wisdom to discover what you want, what your purpose is, and how to make your wildest dreams a reality.
